both are fairly identical, I created a comparison spreadsheet for these two, to help myself to come to a decision, this comparison chart I now published on my features page
summary of some differences:
- battery life: Samsung has a longer battery life
- display size: Samsung has 12.1 inches, Acer 11.6 inches
- display "content": Acer has 1366 x 798 resolution, and Samsung 1280 x 800 resolution
- external screen output: Acer has a HDMI output (to which I can attach my big 27 inch screen digitally), Samsung a Mini-VGA-dongle, only the analogue port would work
- the Acer has a replaceable battery unit, the Samsung is all "glued in one piece"
